Lauren Praiss
Lauren Praiss is an MS2 at GW. She’s from St. Louis, MO and attended Barnard College, where she majored in music. One of Lauren’s favorite memories from volunteering with QHC was marching in the DC Pride Parade last summer alongside her peers. Lauren shared that "it was incredibly special to engage with the DC community, advocating and promoting access to care for queer health.”
Lucy Bowden
Lucy Bowden is an MS2 at GW and is interested in emergency medicine and disaster response in the aftermath of natural disasters. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the violin and getting outside as much as she can. At the Healing Clinic, Lucy loved to teach other managers who were new to the job so they could succeed at running a smooth clinic.
Kason Kreis
Kason is an MS2 at GW and attended undergrad at the University of Miami (Go Canes!), and he loves soccer. During his gap years, he spent some time working in hospital case management, and he chose to be a patient navigator at the Bridge To Care Clinic to learn how to connect patients to important resources and follow-up care from a primary care setting. He said, “It is truly a blessing to help patients who may have additional challenges navigating the healthcare landscape!”
Kaitlin Saal
Kaitlin is an MS2 at GW and is from Norfolk, Virginia. She loves to run, lift, cook, bake, and try new coffee shops & restaurants with friends! Additionally, she is interested in pediatrics or family medicine. Kaitlin said, “Volunteering at the Healing Clinic helped me make meaningful relationships with both patients and peers, and I loved getting to practice my Spanish and connect with patients in their preferred language.”
