The Healing Clinic Education Branch has hosted three events this semester (Spring 2025): Intermediate Suturing Skills Night, Infant Care Skills Session, and Sexual Health Interviewing Session. Each event drew over 20 student attendees who came to strengthen their clinical skills—from refining suturing techniques and learning infant care fundamentals like swaddling and safe sleep practices, to practicing effective sexual health interviewing. These sessions also fostered camaraderie through hands-on learning. The Healing Clinic is actively gathering student feedback to guide future programming and plans to host one more educational event this semester.

Intermediate Suture Skills Night (February 4th, 2025): Kicked off the spring semester with this hands-on, interactive session designed to help members develop and enhance their suturing skills. Dr. Mark Kovler led them through a review of basic skills and transitioned to intermediate skills.

Infant Skills Session (March 6th, 2025): In partnership with Prenatal Partners, Dr. Terry Kind taught members essential infant care skills—diapering, swaddling (including when and why to swaddle), safe sleep basics, calming techniques, and burping, with hands-on demos throughout.

Sexual Health Interviewing Session (April 30th, 2025): Our Education Branch partnered with the Queer Health Collective for this session with Dr. Joey Bahng and Dr. Katy Dumas, focused on interview techniques, LGBTQ+ sexual health, and safe sex counseling.
